How can I help?
Hi/Shekoli!
My name is Shyanne Ninham am I am a licensed mental health counselor who has been in my field since 2016. I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2015 where I majored in psychology and minored in Arabic literature and language. In 2017, I got my master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Syracuse University. I’m currently a doctoral candidate in Fordham University’s counseling psychology PhD program. I have years of experience working with individuals dealing with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, and trauma-related disorders. My research focuses on improving culturally-grounded treatment approaches for Native communities, with a particular focus on treating suicide.
I am driven by the desire to help improve the lives of others and find connecting with people to be meaningful and rewarding. I have dedicated years of my life to studying psychology and psychotherapy to empower my clients. When not working, I spend my time traveling, trying new cuisines, barre workout classes, reading and spending time with family, friends, my partner, and my cat.
