How can I help?

Aiyana Smith, LCSW, is a proud member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation, a licensed clinical social worker, mother, grandmother, and community healer. She is the founder of Blossom Sustainable Development and Counseling Services, where she blends culturally rooted practices with modern mental health approaches to support healing and wellness across Indigenous communities.

With over 20 years of experience in trauma recovery and behavioral health, Aiyana brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. As a survivor of complex trauma, she understands the pain of generational wounds and the courage it takes to heal. Her own journey — grounded in culture, spirit, nature, therapy, and deep personal reflection — inspired the creation of the Path to Peace framework, a holistic process for reclaiming calm, clarity, and confidence after trauma.

In addition to her clinical and programmatic work, Aiyana serves on various boards and advisory committees that advocate for healing, wellness, and systemic change in Indian Country. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to restoring balance in Native communities and creating spaces where future generations can thrive.
